Worship & Music

EVERY SUNDAY WE WORSHIP AT 10:00 A.M.

Music and singing is a valued part of the services at Clark-Grace. We offer a mix of musical styles. Pianist and organist, Connie, accompanies European church hymns and offers contemporary songs from the heart. Pastor White, on the digital piano, plays African American spirituals or gospels with a good beat. He and Connie often collaborate spontaneously when we sing our hymns.

Our music director, Madeline, leads rehearsals regularly to prepare for Sunday services when the choir will be singing. As needed, including summer time, these rehearsals happen on Tuesday evenings at 7pm CT. When the choir is singing that Sunday, there will be a rehearsal at 9am. Please check our most recent Thursday Good Byte to affirm specific times for rehearsal. Anyone who wishes to sing, can join the choir at anytime. We practice global chants, traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, and traditional choir pieces. Music is a way that our community celebrates both our diversity and our spirituality.

OUR TWO SACRAMENTS ARE COMMUNION AND BAPTISM.

In the UCC tradition, all are welcome to the communion table and for baptism.

Communion, the sharing of bread and grape juice, is open to all people who seek to be disciples of Jesus. Communion is served the first Sunday of each month.

Baptism, using water, is available for all ages for people who seek to affirm their faith, either for themselves or for their children, becoming a part of a worshiping community.
